A luxurious forest retreat on the outskirts of Bhopal, edged by a serene water canal. Conceived as a landscape that will gradually mature into a thriving forest over the next fifty years, this place is envisioned as a destination for recreation, celebrations, weddings, and countless memorable experiences, where nature and hospitality evolve together over time.

A series of sketches developed to explore the many possibilities of the site and to understand the client's aspirations, allowing the narrative of the place to gradually emerge through drawing and imagination.
An old structure along the canal punctuates the site and serves as an important anchor for the design, grounding the narrative and lending the place a sense of memory and character.
The canal is lined with thriving native trees and grasses, offering a valuable ground for research and helping us develop a planting palette that is deeply rooted in and complementary to its context.

This open café is imagined as a dynamic social space for sharing drinks, celebrating with friends, dancing under the open sky, cheering for a favourite team, or simply enjoying the moment. Its youthful character invites people of all ages to come together.

The spaces are conceived as adaptable settings, capable of transforming effortlessly to suit a wide range of occasions and atmospheres. Their flexibility allows the character of the resort to evolve with each event while maintaining a cohesive design language. The water mandap exemplifies this approach. Outside the wedding season, it exists as a tranquil architectural feature within the landscape. During celebrations, it is seamlessly transformed into a ceremonial wedding mandap, creating a striking focal point that redefines the space without altering its inherent character.
